The Cheapest Square Footage in Your House

Finishing an existing basement is one of the highest-return remodeling projects you can take on. The walls, floor, and ceiling already exist — we just turn that raw space into rooms you'll actually use.

A typical basement finish involves framing interior walls, insulating against the foundation, running new electrical and (sometimes) plumbing, hanging drywall, finishing ceilings, installing flooring, and trimming everything out. If the project includes a bathroom or wet bar, we coordinate plumbing rough-ins and inspections.

We pay extra attention to the things that make finished basements feel like real living space rather than afterthoughts: ceiling height management around ductwork, proper egress windows in any bedroom, moisture control along foundation walls, and lighting that compensates for limited natural light.

Most of our basement projects include a mix of: a main living area, a bedroom or office with code-compliant egress, a full or half bath, storage, and sometimes a wet bar or kitchenette. We'll help you figure out what fits the space you have.

What a Basement Finish Typically Includes

  • Framing & insulation. Interior walls, soffits, and proper insulation against foundation walls and rim joists.
  • Electrical & plumbing. New circuits, lighting, outlets, and any plumbing for added bathrooms or wet bars.
  • Drywall & finishes. Hung, taped, and finished drywall; flooring; trim; doors; and paint throughout.
  • Permits & egress. Building permits, code-compliant egress windows for bedrooms, and final inspection sign-off.
